With the recent snow storm and general 'staying-in' effect of winter, I have mainly used the Toy Camera App around the apartment or photographing the snow. I did in fact take pics of last nights wonderful Valentine's Day dinner downtown, but tried to be quick using the standard iPhone camera; needlesstosay, the shots didn't turn out too interesting and especially didn't do justice to the food.
Haven't been as diligent using my iPhone Toy Camera app, but do have a few shots below from the past couple weeks. My favorite in particular the one below of my boyfriend playing Rock Band, the lighting and Toy Camera app give the shot a nice vintage effect.

So ignore the fact that I'm opening this post with your classic cheesey mirrorphotoofyourselftakingapicture, because I'm just really thrilled about my new camera. As mentioned in a previous blog post, I was given a Nikon D90 for Christmas/Birthday. I'm quite the amateur photographer, but always game for learning a new gadget, especially when it somehow ties into design. I really don't have a clue where to begin, but did manage to get it out of the box tonight and take some photos of my other cameras using standard auto mode. Seeing them all together really makes me aware of the variety in my hands, and hopefully as I learn the D90, I can also do a better job displaying photos from my other cameras (iphone not included, since I post those regularly). Take a look at my collection below:

Back in Tennessee for Thanksgiving. Set up a temp work space for the day in the dining room. Hard to focus with such beautiful colors outside!

Went to a 30th birthday party last night . . . began with Korean BBQ, then took a detour to Krispy Kreme for 'birthday cake' before heading to bars. Intense night on the stomach!
