By Karey in Animation, Architecture, Art, Computer Graphics, MotionWOW. Everything you thought was possible and more in CG. A full CG animated piece illustrating architecture as art through the photograph and filming of existing spaces. Don't let the description confuse you though, by 'existing spaces' I mean built architecture modeled in 3ds Max. Creator Alex Roman states 'I think i must make it clear. There are a few non-CG elements in the shortfilm: photographer (shot on greenscreen), pigeons, timelapsed growing flowers, flying airplane and sky backgrounds."
BEAUTIFUL. MUST watch in full screen, with sound on. And don't stop short, the latter few minutes are my favorite.

Not quite sure the original source of the photo, but I saw it first on one of my favorite travel blogs: Matador Network.

Molo Design
By Karey in ArchitectureCame across Molo Design today while doing a bit of online surfing. Some interesting images that remind my of using the laser cutter on paper and fabric in architecture school.
