Profile

Born and raised in Tennessee, an alum of the University of Virginia School of Architecture, and currently residing in the Washington DC area; byK is my full-time freelance design studio.

While in Architecture School, I began teaching myself Flash in early 2007. By the end of the year, I had already completed various freelance projects. During 2008, I took an 8 month break to travel throughout Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, and New Zealand; and resumed byK in early 2009.  Since my return I have expanded my freelance services to provide full service web design and development in Flash (ActionScript 2.0/3.0) with XML databases, HTML, PHP, and Wordpress customization. ByK also offers Flash animation, SEO consultation, site maintenance, and print graphics.

I utilize every project as a learning opportunity to enhance my skills, incorporate unfamiliar computing languages, and refine my design process.
